Volleyball Recap: Forest Park Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Felecia Eckert and Mya Wehr

Forest Park was the 3-2 winner over Gibson Southern when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Rangers fell just short of the Titans by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Rangers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Forest Park took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-28, 25-23, 24-26, 25-14, 15-8.

Forest Park's loss came despite strong showings from Mya Wehr and Felecia Eckert. Wehr had 13 digs and two aces, while Eckert had 14 digs.

Forest Park's defeat dropped their record down to 21-6. As for Gibson Southern, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 21-6.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Forest Park will take on South Spencer at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Gibson Southern, they will challenge Jasper at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
