Basketball Game Preview: Coahulla Creek Colts vs. Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe Warriors

Coahulla Creek and Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2020, but not for long. The Coahulla Creek Colts will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe Warriors at 7:30 p.m. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Coahulla Creek has struggled recently with five defeats in a row, while Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe will arrive with three straight wins.

Last Friday, Coahulla Creek was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 83-82 to Murray County. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Wednesday (58), the Colts still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe earned a 69-57 victory over Rockmart on Saturday. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 218th, while the Yellowjackets are ranked 442nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe has also been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.5 points per game. As for Coahulla Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 12-9.

Coahulla Creek was able to grind out a solid win over Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, winning 58-51. Does Coahulla Creek have another victory up their sleeve, or will Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
