Softball Recap: Rockcastle County Takes a Loss

Rockcastle County's last matchup with South Laurel could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Saturday. The Rockets came up short against the Cardinals, falling 12-1. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Rockets couldn't push the score so high this time.

Rockcastle County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lauren Hensley, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.

Rockcastle County's defeat dropped their record down to 12-9-1. As for South Laurel, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

Rockcastle County will face off against Casey County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for South Laurel, they will head out to square off against Clay County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
