Baseball Recap: Laton Comes Up Short

Monday just wasn't the day for Laton's offense. They fell just short of the Strathmore Spartans by a score of 1-0 on Monday. The Mustangs were not able to make up for their defeat to the Spartans from their previous meeting back in March of 2022.

Laton has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for Strathmore, their win bumped their record up to 4-7-1.

Coming up, Laton will be playing at home against Legacy Christian Academy at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Mustangs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lions have averaged an impressive 7.7 runs per game this season. As for Strathmore, they will venture away from home to face off against Woodlake at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
