Volleyball Recap: Sutherland Takes a Loss

Sutherland lost against Dundy County-Stratton back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Sailors took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers. The Sailors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The match finished with set scores of 25-6, 25-15.

Sutherland's offense was headlined by Eliana Dyer and Addison Arvdal, who picked up two kills apiece. They got some help from Drew Rotert and her three assists.

Dundy County-Stratton found their leader in sophomore Bree Lutz, who had 24 assists and eight digs. Lutz is crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 15 every time she's taken the court this season.

Sutherland's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Dundy County-Stratton, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-2.

Sutherland has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Hyannis on the 20th. As for Dundy County-Stratton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Paxton on the 20th.
