Football Game Preview: Mountain Crest Mustangs vs. Uintah Utes + Official Tickets

The Mountain Crest Mustangs will host the Uintah Utes at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Mountain Crest has four straight wins, Uintah has six straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Friday, Mountain Crest was able to grind out a solid victory over Green Canyon, taking the game 35-28.

Meanwhile, Uintah played a tough contest on Wednesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by Park City and fell 42-0. Considering the last time the Utes couldn't score was back in September, the team can't take the result too hard.

Even if they lost, Uintah's defensive line still kept up the pressure with four sacks. Lukas Turner refused to say out of the backfield, picking up three sacks all by himself. Uintah got some further help from Turner: he picked up three sacks, forced one fumble, and made eight total tackles (4.0 for loss).

Mountain Crest's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Uintah, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-9.

Everything came up roses for Mountain Crest against Uintah in their previous meeting back in August, as the squad secured a 62-8 victory. In that matchup, the Mustangs amassed a halftime lead of 56-8, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
