Basketball Recap: Tecumseh Braves vs. Henryville Hornets
On Saturday, the Tecumseh Braves greeted the New Year with with a 49-32 victory over the Henryville Hornets.
Henryville lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Landon Dobbs, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten boards. Another player making a difference was Wyatt Owens, who went 8 of 20 en route to 16 points and six rebounds.
Tecumseh has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 4-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.3 points per game. As for Henryville, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tecumseh will venture away from home to challenge Southridge at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Henryville, they will head out to face off against Trinity Lutheran at 7:00 p.m. on January 11th.
