Football Recap: Liberty Piles Up the Points Against Southside + How To Watch

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Fountain Inn, Liberty was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They breezed past the Southside Tigers to the tune of 61-12. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Red Devils just coasted through the last quarter.

Leading Liberty to victory were Kendall Jackson and Zane Smith. Jackson gained 109 total yards and three touchdowns, while Smith rushed for 95 yards and one score on only seven carries.

Liberty didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Smith and Chavis Roland.

The victory got Liberty back to even at 1-1. As for Southside, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Liberty will take on Pickens at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Southside, they will face off against Dixie at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
