Petaluma waltzed into their game on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. Their defense stepped up to hand the Sonoma Valley Dragons a 1-0 shutout. Give the Trojans' defense some credit: that's the team's fourth straight shutout.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Diego Gayton, which was the first he's scored this season.

Petaluma pushed their record up to 4-5-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three contests. As for Sonoma Valley, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 3-8-5.
