Football Recap: Jihanna Ahmetaj Leads Ridgeview Global Studies Academy's Defense on Thursday

Ridgeview Global Studies Academy got themselves on the board against Ridge Community on Thursday, but Ridge Community never followed suit. They walked away with a 13-0 victory over the Ridge Community Bolts. This was payback for the Explorers, who suffered a 20-6 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Ridgeview Global Studies Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Ahmetaj, Abrielle Baxter, Aniya Atkins, and Fahy picked up one apiece. The dominant performance also gave Ahmetaj a new career-high in total tackles (eight). She got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Ridgeview Global Studies Academy's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Ridge Community, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.
