Logan Sandoval leads Ruidoso to victory over New Mexico Military Institute

Recap: Ruidoso Warriors vs. New Mexico Military Institute Colts

After losing to the New Mexico Military Institute Colts the last time they met, the Ruidoso Warriors decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Ruidoso came out on top in a nail-biter against New Mexico Military Institute on Tuesday and snuck past 47-45. The win made it back-to-back wins for Ruidoso.

It was another big night for Logan Sandoval, who scored 29 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Sandoval is crushing the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Augustine Saiz was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with seven rebounds.

The win got Ruidoso back to even at 10-10. As for New Mexico Military Institute, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-9 record this season.

Ruidoso will be playing at home against Dexter at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Ruidoso focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Tuesday. As for New Mexico Military Institute, they will head out on the road to take on Tucumcari at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. New Mexico Military Institute is facing Tucumcari at the right time seeing as Tucumcari is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
