Softball Recap: Cary Takes a Loss

Cary lost against Green Level back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Cary came up short against Green Level, falling 16-8. The Imps have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hailey Hackett led a balanced group of hitters, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddie Smith, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 3-for-5.

Cary's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Green Level, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-4.

Cary has already played their next contest, a 13-3 loss against Millbrook on the 19th. As for Green Level, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 13-3 defeat against Holly Springs on the 19th.
