Basketball Recap: Graham Skates Past Marion with Ease

Graham put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Marion Scarlet Hurricanes 69-40. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 38-8.

Graham got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ty Martin out in front who went 5 of 7 en route to 15 points. Martin's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Channing Disibbio, who went 6 for 12 on his way to 17 points.

Graham was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now racked up at least 20 assists in three consecutive games.

Graham's victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0. As for Marion, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Graham will venture away from home to challenge Richlands at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Graham knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Richlands likes a good challenge. As for Marion, they will head out on the road to square off against Lebanon at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
