Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask South Sumter). They never let the Central Bears onto the board and left with a 5-0 victory on Thursday. It was an even better day for Janiely Otero-Rodriguez as she scored three goals for her team.

The win made it two in a row for South Sumter and bumps their season record up to 5-6-5. As for Central, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-12.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Sumter will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Crystal River at 6:00 p.m. on January 10, 2025. Central will also get a bit of a break before their next match: they'll face off against Anclote at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
