Basketball Recap: Tri County's Undefeated Season over After Five Games

After flying high against Southern on Friday, Tri County came back down to earth. The Trojans fell 55-43 to the Sandy Creek Cougars on Saturday. The game marked the Trojans' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Sandy Creek was led to victory by Kamerin Sealey and Wesley Biltoft. Sealey dropped a double-double with 12 points and ten boards, while Biltoft dropped a double-double with ten points and ten rebounds. Those ten boards gave Sealey a new career-high. Kaeden Schmidt was another key player, putting up nine points.

Having lost for the first time this season, Tri County fell to 4-1. As for Sandy Creek, their win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0.

Looking ahead, Tri County will be home for the holidays to greet Sacred Heart at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sandy Creek, they are taking a road trip to take on Holdrege at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cougars will need to watch out since the Dusters have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
