Poly and Monroe are an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2015, but not for long. The Parrots will face off against the Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Poly has given up an average of 32 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Meanwhile, Monroe played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 48-6 loss at the hands of Arleta. The defeat continues a trend for the Vikings in their meetings with the Mustangs: they've now lost nine in a row.

Poly's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Monroe, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Everything came up roses for Poly against Monroe when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 47-12 victory. In that matchup, the Parrots amassed a halftime lead of 40-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
