Softball Recap: Pflugerville Takes a Loss

After flying high against Pflugerville Connally last Friday, Pflugerville came back down to earth. The Pflugerville Panthers lost 17-2 to the East View Patriots on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Patriots: they've now lost three in a row.

Pflugerville saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Naleah Mackey, who scored a run while going 2-for-2. Mackey also put up a double, which was her first of the season.

Pflugerville's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9-1. As for East View, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 10-5.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Pflugerville Panthers duke it out with Elgin Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for East View, they will take on Pflugerville Connally at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. East View is facing Pflugerville Connally at the right time seeing as Pflugerville Connally is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
