Volleyball Recap: Lincoln-Way East Takes Down Stagg in a Playoff Battle

Lincoln-Way East extended their postseason success on Thursday against Stagg. They came out on top against the Chargers by a score of 2-0. The win was familiar territory for the Griffins, who have now won five contests in a row.

Lincoln-Way East easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-21.

Kolby Ross paced Lincoln-Way East's offense, picking up 13 kills. Ross got some help from Maggie Simon and her 15 assists. Ross was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Lincoln-Way East's victory bumped their record up to 29-8. As for Stagg, their loss dropped their record down to 17-16.

Looking ahead, Lincoln-Way East will square off against Marist at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Stagg does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
