Baseball Recap: Alamogordo Victorious

It was a proper cat-fight when Alamogordo took on Gadsden on Thursday. The Tigers came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 6-2. The win continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won three in a row.

Kelan Wall made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. Alamogordo is 3-1 when Wall allows one or fewer earned runs, but 8-14 otherwise. Wall was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, Kade Kiss was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Preston Eldred, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Alamogordo's record now sits at 11-15. As for Gadsden, they are on a 15-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-20-1.

As of now, neither Alamogordo nor the Panthers have any future games scheduled.
