Basketball Recap: Bedford North Lawrence Takes a Loss

If Bedford North Lawrence was riding high fresh off their 57-29 takedown of New Albany last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bedford North Lawrence Stars took a 46-30 bruising from the Jeffersonville Red Devils on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Stars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 201st, while the Red Devils are ranked 52nd).

Bedford North Lawrence has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Jeffersonville, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bedford North Lawrence will take on Seymour at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Bedford North Lawrence is facing Seymour at the right time seeing as Seymour is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Jeffersonville, they will square off against Columbus East at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Jeffersonville will also cruise into their next game with the timing on their side: Columbus East will have lost eight straight heading into Saturday's contest.
