Baseball Recap: Franklin-Simpson Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Franklin-Simpson, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They walked away with a 9-4 victory over the Muhlenberg County Mustangs on Saturday. The Wildcats have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Mustangs, too.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Brady Delk, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Franklin-Simpson is undefeated when Delk posts two or more runs, but 7-9 otherwise. Layne Alford was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Franklin-Simpson's win bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Muhlenberg County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-4.
