Basketball Recap: Knightdale Extends Home Winning Streak to Ten

Knightdale had won nine straight home games dating back to last season and Isaiah Green did his part to make it ten on Wednesday. The Knightdale Knights walked away with a 69-59 victory over the Rolesville Rams thanks in part to Green, who went 7 for 11 on his way to 19 points along with seven assists and seven rebounds. He has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 46 times he's played.

Another player making a difference was Sam Thomas, who posted nine points and five assists. Those nine points gave him a new career-high.

Several Rams players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jacob Clemons, who had six points. Brody Watkins was another key player, putting up eight points.

Knightdale is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.4 points per game. As for Rolesville, they now have a losing record at 10-11.

Knightdale will be playing in front of their home fans against Heritage at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Heritage will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Knightdale surely won't give up without a fight. As for Rolesville, they are taking a road trip to take on Millbrook at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Millbrook knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine games -- so hopefully Rolesville likes a good challenge.
