Basketball Recap: Sonoma Valley Dragons vs. Justin-Siena Braves
The Sonoma Valley Dragons lost against the Justin-Siena Braves back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Sonoma Valley took a serious blow against the Braves, falling 66-32. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Sonoma Valley in their matchups with the Braves: they've now lost five in a row.
Despite the loss, Sonoma Valley still got an impressive performance from Vinny Girish, who scored 16 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Will Breall, who scored five points.
Sonoma Valley has not been sharp recently as the team's lost ten of their last 11 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-15 record this season. As for Justin-Siena, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 19-3.
Sonoma Valley will be playing at home against the Gauchos at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Casa Grande is no doubt hoping to put an end to a seven-game streak of away losses. As for Justin-Siena, they will head out on the road to challenge the Trojans at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
