Basketball Recap: North Beats Blackville-Hilda for Their Second Straight Victory

North won the last time they faced Blackville-Hilda, and Kailen Parks did her part to make sure it happened again. The North Eagles blew past the Blackville-Hilda Fighting Hawks 70-40 on Friday thanks in part to Parks, who almost dropped a double-double on 36 points and nine steals. Parks is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least three every time she's taken the court this season.

The team also got some help courtesy of Angionna Hook, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten steals. She is becoming a predictor of North's success: when she posts at least three steals the team is 6-1 (and 6-7 when she doesn't).

Despite the loss, Blackville-Hilda still got an impressive performance from Breyanna Williams, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten steals. Torrianna James was another key player, putting up six points and three steals.

The victory made it two in a row for North and bumps their season record up to 12-8. As for Blackville-Hilda, they dropped their record down to 4-8 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

North has already played their next match, a 61-45 win against Ridge Spring-Monetta on the 4th. As for Blackville-Hilda, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 40-36 defeat against Calhoun County on the 4th.
