On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to McArthur's defense and their four sacks. In that department, Dylon Casimir was the leader with three. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one sack the last four times he's played.
Meanwhile, South Plantation unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 56-49 to Cooper City. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (42), the Paladins still had to take the loss.
McArthur will need to focus on slowing down Nixon Kalish, one of several South Plantation players who made an impact when they last played. He threw for 288 yards and four TDs. Kamary Cooper was another key back, gaining 190 total yards.

Thursday's matchup might be decided on the ground. McArthur has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 205.8 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like South Plantation struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 189.9 rushing yards. There's a good chance Thursday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
McArthur skirted past South Plantation 23-21 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Paladins have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
