Volleyball Recap: Salem Wins Going Away Against Cuba

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mountain Grove, Salem was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Cuba Wildcats with a sharp 3-0 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Tigers have posted since September 24th.

Salem never let Cuba on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-21, 25-22.

Addison Fulton paced Salem's offense, picking up 12 kills. Fulton were helped by Carly Atkinson and Reagan Dubois, who contributed 13 assists each. Dubois also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Madison Flores, racking up three apiece.

Salem's win bumped their record up to 8-22-2. As for Cuba, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-15-3 record this season.

Salem wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against St. Clair on the 24th. Cuba does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
