Baseball Recap: Governor Mifflin's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Thursday

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Governor Mifflin couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Liberty Hurricanes by a score of 1-0 on Thursday. The game marked the first time this year in which the Mustangs were not able to get on the board.

With the loss, Governor Mifflin broke their ten-game winning streak and moved their record to 26-2. As for Liberty, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-6 record this season.

Governor Mifflin does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Liberty, they will take on Cedar Cliff on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Hurricanes 4, the Colts 2.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
