Meanwhile, Roosevelt can finally bid farewell to their 21-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 53-23 victory over Sandy. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Roughriders have posted since December 5, 2023.

Milwaukie/Milwaukie Academy of the Arts better keep an eye on Carolina Alonso. She was instrumental in Roosevelt's win, almost dropping a double-double on 16 points and nine boards. Alonso is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least three every time she's taken the court this season. Beatrice Dearborn was another key player, putting up four points along with seven rebounds, six steals, and five blocks.

Roosevelt smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 26 offensive boards. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.
