Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Washington). They put the hurt on the Walton Wildcats with a sharp 16-1 win on Wednesday. The victory was familiar territory for the Trojans, who have now won five matches in a row.

Washington's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for Walton, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Washington wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 5-3 loss against Monroe Campus on the 25th. Walton has also already played their next contest (against DeWitt Clinton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
