It was a good run, but Dudley unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Friday. They took a blow against the Grimsley Whirlies, falling 42-14. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 81st, while the Whirlies are ranked first).

Although Dudley took the loss, they still got scores from Brayden Jeffries and Michael Boone Jr..

Dudley's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 6-4. As for Grimsley, their record is now 9-0.

Dudley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Grimsley, they are taking a road trip to square off against Ben L. Smith at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
