Basketball Recap: Carlos Vallejo Key Part of a Team Effort in Bearcats Win

On Friday, the WF West Bearcats rang in the new year with a 56-43 victory over the Cedarcrest Red Wolves.

WF West's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Carlos Vallejo, who posted 15 points. Another player making a difference was Gage Brumfield, who earned 14 points.

WF West's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Cedarcrest, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.

WF West has already played their next game, a 57-29 win against Rochester on the 6th. As for Cedarcrest, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 51-40 defeat against Anacortes on the 4th.
