Hoover was led to victory by Gabriel Flores, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Monday. Flores pitched 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits, which was good enough to also set a new career-low in walks. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (three).
