Softball Recap: Wood-Ridge Comes Up Short

Wood-Ridge might've scored the first runs on Thursday, but it was Waldwick who claimed the real prize. The Blue Devils came up short against the Warriors, falling 18-2. The Blue Devils just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Brooke Stellato was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run. Isabella Catanzaro also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Wood-Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Waldwick, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-0.

Looking ahead, Wood-Ridge will square off against Midland Park at 10:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Waldwick, they will challenge Bergenfield on Saturday. The last three games the Bears have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
