Baseball Game Preview: Soledad Aztecs vs. St. Francis Sharks

Soledad is 2-7 against St. Francis since April of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Aztecs will challenge the Sharks at 4:00 p.m. St. Francis took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Soledad, who comes in off a win.

Soledad hadn't beaten Salinas on the road since May 1, 2018 but that history sure didn't bother them on Tuesday. The Aztecs came out on top against the Cowboys by a score of 4-1.

St. Francis had taken Monterey down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Tuesday. The Sharks took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dores. The Sharks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

St. Francis now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Soledad, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 8-13.

Soledad suffered a grim 7-0 defeat to St. Francis in their previous matchup back in March. Can the Aztecs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
