Football Game Preview: Jay Royals vs. Northview Chiefs + How To Watch

Jay hasn't had much luck against Northview recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Royals will take on the Chiefs at 7:00 p.m. Northview took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Jay, who comes in off a win.

Jay will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up seven points last Friday, then bounced right back against Central on Friday. The Royals claimed a resounding 47-7 victory over the Jaguars. With the Royals ahead 41-7 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Special teams played a big role in the game for Jay, adding 11 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Landon Stewart, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Northview's game on Friday was all tied up 7-7 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of Baker by a score of 22-19.

With the win, Jay broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-4. As for Northview, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

Everything came up roses for Jay against Northview in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 34-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Royals since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
