Baseball Game Preview: Westview Chargers vs. Milan Bulldogs

Westview hasn't had much luck against Milan recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Westview Chargers will face off against the Milan Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Westview has three straight victories, Milan has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Westview lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Milan, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Monday's game. Westview was the clear victors by a 13-2 margin over Milan on Monday. The Chargers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matches by nine runs or more this season.

Graham Simpson was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing Four bases. while going 4-for-4. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was CD Damron, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Westview was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .375 or higher in three consecutive contests.

Westview pushed their record up to 4-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Milan, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.
