Basketball Recap: Wabash Falls Despite Big Games from Derek Reed and Davon Osborn

Wabash was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 55-44 to the Southwood Knights. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Apaches this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 46-28 on December 6th.

Wabash's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of DaVon Osborn, who posted ten points and five rebounds, and Derek Reed, who earned 11 points. Another player making a difference was Eli Mattern, who had seven points.

It was another big night for Bryce Wilcox, who dropped a double-double on 30 points and 15 rebounds for Southwood. The team also got some help courtesy of Emery Liddick, who posted 12 points.

Wabash's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Southwood, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.

Wabash wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 46-38 defeat against Northfield on the 28th. As for Southwood, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, an 83-47 loss against Manchester on the 28th.
