Baseball Game Preview: Seven Hills Stingers vs. Mariemont Warriors

The Seven Hills Stingers will head out to square off against the Mariemont Warriors at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Seven Hills is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last six games.

Seven Hills barely beat Clark Montessori the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Stingers were the clear victors by a 9-2 margin over the Cougars on Thursday. Considering the Stingers have won ten games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Seven Hills let Matthew Wiles and Jackson Hamon run wild. Wiles got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run, while Hamon went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Shlok Metha, who went 1-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Meanwhile, Mariemont came up short against Summit Country Day on Saturday, falling 12-2.

Seven Hills' victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-6. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Mariemont, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-9 record this season.
