Softball Recap: South Rebels vs. Geneva Eagles
After only one run in their last game, South made sure to put some runs up on the board against Geneva on Tuesday. The Rebels blew past the Eagles 12-2. Considering the Rebels' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.
Summer Bliss (Lake Erie College) was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Casey Heil, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

South was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .593. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2024.
With the win, South broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-10-1. As for Geneva, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-10.
Coming up, South will square off against Lorain at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Titans will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something the Rebels surely won't give up without a fight. As for Geneva, they will challenge Madison at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
