Homewood hasn't had much luck against Pelham recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Homewood Patriots will welcome the Pelham Panthers at 4:30 p.m. Homewood is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.3 runs per game this season.

Homewood's tournament run continued when they took on John Carroll Catholic on Saturday. Homewood fell just short of John Carroll Catholic by a score of 5-4.

Homewood saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madison Felton, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Felton also hit a hit, marking her first of the season. Madison Letson was another, scoring a run while going 3-for-3.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Pelham faced off against Prattville on Saturday. Pelham fell 9-6 to Prattville. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Rebecca Roy was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Emery Plunkett, who scored two runs while going 1-for-1.

Pelham's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Homewood, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.

Tuesday's match will be a test for both team's pitchers. Homewood hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having hit 0 of their hits per game. However, it's not like Pelham struggles in that department as they've hit 0 of their hits this season. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
