There's no place like home for ITW David Speer Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 10-4 margin over the Bulls College Prep Bulls on Saturday. Considering the Pride have won eight matches by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Santiago Lopez made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with four stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. ITW David Speer Academy is 4-1 when Lopez posts two or more runs, but 5-8 otherwise.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jesus Neris, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with four stolen bases and two runs. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Jonathan Soto was another key player, going 2-for-4 with four stolen bases and two runs.

The win got ITW David Speer Academy back to even at 9-9. As for Bulls College Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9.

ITW David Speer Academy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 13-2 victory against Steinmetz College Prep on the 12th. As for Bulls College Prep, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 20-9 defeat against Intrinsic on the 13th.
