Volleyball Recap: Plainview Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Plainview lost against Albertville last Saturday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bears fell 3-1 to the Aggies. While the Bears didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Aggies 25-20 in the first set.

Plainview started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-18, 25-15, 25-23.

Kella McCurdy paced Plainview's offense, picking up nine kills. McCurdy got some help from Jaxson Bruce and her 14 assists. Finally, Abby Pociask kept Plainview's defense grounded, leading the team with five blocks.

Plainview's loss ended a five-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 28-13. As for Albertville, their win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 25-14.

Looking ahead, Plainview will take on Cherokee County at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Albertville, they will face off against St. Luke's Episcopal at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
