Eupora had won four straight games and Peyton Perkins did his part to make it five on Friday. The Eagles had just enough and edged out the Noxapater Tigers 14-12 with plenty of help from Perkins, who rushed for 101 yards and one TD, and also threw for 108 yards and one touchdown. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 101 rushing yards.

Although Noxapater took the loss, they still got scores from Davion Holmes and JyKavius Riddle.

Eupora's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Noxapater, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Eupora and Noxapater will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Eagles are set to face off against their familiar foe Velma Jackson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Noxapater will square off against rival Sebastopol at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
