Baseball Game Preview: Calistoga Wildcats vs. Willits Wolverines

The Calistoga Wildcats will square off against the Willits Wolverines at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Willits took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Calistoga, who comes in off a win.

Calistoga was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Roseland Collegiate Prep on Friday. Calistoga's pitcher stepped up to hand Roseland Collegiate Prep an 11-0 shutout. The win was some much needed relief for the Wildcats as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Noel Sarabio was incredible, scoring two runs while getting on base in four of his six plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of David Bravo, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Meanwhile, Willits fell victim to Middletown and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Mustangs, falling 15-0. The Wolverines have struggled against the Mustangs recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Willits' defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Calistoga, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.
