Softball Recap: Woodrow Wilson Takes a Loss

Woodrow Wilson fell victim to Independence and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Patriots, falling 8-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Flying Eagles of the 9-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Woodrow Wilson has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-9 record this season. As for Independence, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Woodrow Wilson will square off against rival Oak Hill at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Independence is set to take on their familiar foe Shady Spring at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
