Basketball Game Preview: Mohonasen Warriors vs. Voorheesville Blackbirds

The Mohonasen Warriors are taking a road trip to take on the Voorheesville Blackbirds at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Mohonasen has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 194 points over their last three games.

If Voorheesville heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Mohonasen took over last week. Mohonasen came out on top against Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake by a score of 66-58 on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Voorheesville was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 58-53 to Mechanicville. The Blackbirds have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The win got Mohonasen back to even at 6-6. As for Voorheesville, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-5.

Mohonasen didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Voorheesville in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, but they still walked away with a 49-43 victory. Will Mohonasen repeat their success, or does Voorheesville have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
