Softball Recap: South Continues Home Dominance on Friday

South waltzed into their match on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 6-3 win over the Salina Central Mustangs. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 4-2 on Friday.

South's victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Salina Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-3 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Maize South on May 2. As for Salina Central, they will challenge Goddard at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
