Softball Recap: Midland Extends Home Winning Streak to 12

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Midland ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 victory over the Pangburn Tigers. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Mustangs have posted against the Tigers since April 13, 2017.

Addison Rooffener was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Midland's victory was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.4 runs over those games. As for Pangburn, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Midland will welcome White County Central at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Pangburn, they will head out to face off against Bay at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
