Rocky Mountain won the last time they faced Greeley West and things went their way on Friday too. The Rocky Mountain Lobos simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Greeley West Spartans 87-32. Given the Lobos' advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 100th, while the Spartans are ranked 299th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Rocky Mountain's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Peyton Matkin, who went 6 of 11 en route to 15 points and five steals. That's the most steals Matkin has posted since back in January of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Bode Nesbitt, who went 6 for 13 on his way to 16 points and three steals.

Rocky Mountain is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-10 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.4 points over those games. As for Greeley West, they are on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-18.

Coming up, Rocky Mountain will face off against Loveland at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Rocky Mountain is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.8 points per game this season. As for Greeley West, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Fossil Ridge at 7:30 p.m. Fossil Ridge will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Greeley West surely won't give up without a fight.
