Basketball Game Preview: Hoover Vikings vs. Jackson Polar Bears

The Hoover Vikings will take on the Jackson Polar Bears at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Hoover will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

On Sunday, Hoover didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Twinsburg, but they still walked away with a 42-37 win.

Jackson has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 55-50 heartbreaker at the hands of Strongsville. While losing is never fun, the Polar Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 34th, while the Mustangs are ranked fourth).

Jackson's loss dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Hoover, they pushed their record up to 10-6 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.
